Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to meet students with systems of automatic and automated control of the transport in the underground coal mines.

Teaching methods

Summary

The objective of controlling (automatic or supervised-automatic) underground transport systems is then ensuring the best possible continuity in haulage processes with reduction of breakdowns, as much as possible, especially non-technological. Moreover, the rationalization systems of automated tandem conveyor control save energy and increase working life of conveyors. The problems need simulation models, implemented on a computer, which could make possible optimisation, prediction and operative management.
