Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course acquaints students with current trends in the field of automatic control, including programmable logic controllers and smart sensors and MEMS systems. Graduate acquires skills to design and apply automation means in concrete terms the role of task-based dissertation.

System layout of technical means of automation. Sensors of electric and nonelectric values, transmitters, transducers and converters, communication systems, evaluation means - signalization elements, displays, actuating elements. Controllers and computer control systems, PLC, industrial measurement and control kits. Action elements and members. Development trends of automation means.

1st Systematic means of automatic control. 2nd Sensors and non-electrical quantities, amplifiers and converters, transmission systems. 3rd Processing equipment - display elements, display devices, controls. 4th Controllers and control computers. 5th PLC, construction of industrial measurement and control systems. 6th Action members and authorities. 7th Trends in automation equipment.
