Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The objective of the subject Waste Treatment is to describe and organize information on waste conditioning technologies and based on the acquired information to explain details on technological processes leading to better waste utilization. In case of waste disposal it gives preference to apply processes leading to reduce hazardous properties of the waste.

Summary

The course provides the students with fundamental information on selected technologies that lead towards the change in the physical, chemical or biological properties of waste. The students will acquire basic data on the technological procedures which will allow a better utilization of waste or waste disposal, and which will facilitate transport of waste or minimize their dangerous properties.
