1. Technical facilities - terminology in general, items and classification of technical facilities, requirements (with a particular attention paid t– buried networks), spatial layout (principles and pre-requisites for mutual location of networks), feeding systems and long-distance networks. 2. Principles, requirements and technical solutions for crossing of water networks and sewage systems under roads, railways, and rivers, installation on bridges and walkways, combined routes and technical corridors, pressure zones – pressure chambers and pressure reduction stations, pumping stations and relief drains. 3. Organisation and management of public water networks and sewage systems – relation to the Act on Waters and decree on public water networks and sewage systems. Terms – water networks and sewage systems. Requirements and conditions relating to mass supply of water to people and discharge of wastewater. Conditions for operation and connection of water supplies and wastewater discharge. Payments (civic amenities, businesses, industry). Administration and property law (relation to municipalities, health service authority, water authorities, water basin administration bodies). 4. Current situation in the Czech Republic – water supplies and discharge of wastewater from households. Quality and quantity. Situation by territories (with a particular attention paid to the North Moravia - Ostrava Area Water System). Key issues. Expected outlook. 5. Territorial planning - purpose and tasks of the territorial planning. Zoning documentation and source data. Competent bodies. Master plan proceedings and master plan decision. 6. Building Code- authorisation to draft designs and make construction (special competence, certification of products), permits and notification of constructions. Building proceedings and decisions. Water law proceedings. Changes in water law. 7. Building Code - continuation - types and scope of documentation (intention for the master plan decision, building permit). Filing of applications (deadlines, notification of commencement of the proceedings and decision made within the proceedings). 8. Building Code - continuation - final building acceptance, trial operation, change in purpose, demolition of construction. Construction supervision and supervisor. Penalties, expropriation. 9. Service pipes and sewage connection pipes – designing, sizing. Conditions and requirements. Laying of pipes and maintenance (private and public parts). Relation to public water networks and sewage systems and municipal wastewater treatment plants. Additional processing of water (packed water). 10. Water networks and sewage systems inside buildings – designing, sizing and installation. Laying of pipes and maintenance. Failures of materials and valves. Internal distribution of drinking water, hot water and fire water. Household pumping units. Health protection systems. Use of septic tanks, cesspools and household wastewater treatment plants. Pre-treatment (oil traps, grease traps...) 11. Fire water networks – fire safety (required pressure and quantity). Sources of fire water. Outside and inside fire water pipelines (take-off points, fire sections, pressures, profiles). Types and location of hydrants. Mobile fire extinguishers. 12. Measuring of consumption and quantity of discharged wastewater. Start of existence of the obligation to measure water/wastewater. Types of measuring devices (for water supply and discharge of wastewater). Requirements in respect of measuring devices. Water-metering system. Water-metering shafts. 13. Operation and maintenance of water networks and sewage systems – organisation, methods, procedures. Protection and repair of pipes (eddy currents, cleaning). Rules for handling and operation. Emergency procedures. 14. Operation and maintenance of collection and take-off facilities, water processing plants and pumping stations. Quality control and quality monitoring. 15.
