Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of investment processes, selection procedures and realization of buildings, with the importance of observing the basic principles of quality control in the building industry in relation to the renovation of brownfields and the environment.

Summary

Familiarization with the basic concepts and classification of investments in constructions and with those involved in the investment process. Description of the individual phases of the investment process. The importance of building quality, quality and reliability management.

Subject syllabus:

1. Introduction to the investment process in construction, basic concepts and classification of investments. 2. The key players entering the investment process in the construction industry and a description of their activities. 3. Summary of the individual stages of the investment process and description of their basic characteristics. 4. Land for construction (compliance with IP, records and ownership, price). 5. Conceptual phase of the investment process. 6. Pre-project phase of the investment process. 7. The project phase of the investment process. 8. Implementation phase of the investment process. 9. The exploitation phase, eventually the remedial phase of the investment process. 10. Quality and reliability of buildings 11. Introduction to Quality Management (Basic Principles and Concepts). 12. Quality management systems in the construction industry. 13. Supporting quality management processes in construction (testing, statistical evaluation, risk assessment)
