Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After completing the course, the student will be able to: - characterize, debate, discuss the issue of equipment for water retention in the landscape (small reservoirs, weirs); - develop your own design of a small water reservoir concept - to defend the own design of a small water reservoir.

Summary

The course deals with functional and structural solutions, construction, maintenance and operation of equipment for water retention in the landscape. These are weirs and small reservoirs whose purpose is the retention and accumulation of water in the landscape for subsequent use for protective, industrial, recreational, fish farming, etc ..

Additional study materials

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Beginning with the second seminar in the semester, fulfilment of tasks are checked - the tasks relate to preparation of a semestral project of a small water reservoir. If the student does not fulfil the set tasks regularly, he/she will not be able to prepare the project.
