Course is devoted to the basic information on degradation processes in soils and soil protection. It includes water and wind erosion of soils, soil contamination, inorganic and organic pollutants in soil, acidification, sampling and analyses of soil water and soil air.

Subject syllabus:

Přednášky: Procesy degradace v půdách. Vlastnosti půd významné z hlediska degradace půd. Příčiny a následky vodní eroze půdy. Obecná rovnice eroze půdy. Příčiny a následky větrné eroze půdy. Protierozní opatření. Kontaminace půd průmyslem. Kontaminace půd zemědělskou činností. Hodnocení kontaminace půd. Kontaminace půd dálkovým přenosem polutantů a kritické zátěže. Ekologická stabilita krajiny a ochrana půdy. Degradace půd v zemědělství. Degradace lesních půd. Cvičení: Odběr vzorků půdní vody. Atmogeochemické metody v ochraně půd.
