Summary

The course is a theoretical basis for the study of applied chemical disciplines. For combined study the lecture is conceived as a one-block course, offering theoretical knowledge of the chemical elements and their compounds with aspect to their occurrence in the environment in a compact form.

Compulsory literature:

ZUMDAHL S.: Chemical principles, Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston, N.Y., 2005. CHANG R.: Chemistry Tenth Edition. McGraw-Hill: New York, 2010.

Recommended literature:

SHRIVER, D.F., ATKINS, P. W., LANGFORD, C.H.: Inorganic Chemistry, Oxford University Press, 1994.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Lecture and exercising are conceived as a block course for the combined form of study. Based on the current classification order, which is part of the school rules. Knowledge pupil are examined written form, with the emphasis on understanding the topic and application of theoretical knowledge in solving practical problems. Evaluation includes the collective and self-evaluation. The overall assessment is included as an active student in class work.
