Subject syllabus:
1. Water management of the plant. Mineral nutrition of plants.
2. Photosynthesis. Respiration.
3. Secondary plant substances. Heterotrophic nutrition.
4. Physiology of movements - physical and vital movements. Phytohromones.
5. Physiology of plant growth and development.
6. Plant reproduction.
7. Cytological bases of heredity. Plant propagation, overview of methods,
principles. Generative reproduction, mitosis, meiosis.
8. Mendel's laws. Monohybrid crossing - dominance and recessivity. Cross
monohybrida - partial dominance. Binding of talents, Morgan's rules.
9. Sex inheritance, sex chromosomes. Types of heterogamity. Mutation,
mutagenicity, mutagens. Genetic toxicology. Ecotype.
10. Classification of plants, their origin and evolution. Biological species. Basic
division of organisms, plant systematics.
11. Non-cellular forms of living systems.
12. Lower plants.
13. Higher plants.
