Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal of the subject is to acquaint the students with the basics of zoology. The students will learn in practical exercises the skills based on the competencies of environmental engineer.

Summary

Animal fyziology. Basics of zoology systematics. Focus on the tribes of invertebrates: Plathelminthes, Nemathoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Arthropoda and the tribe of Chordata (the classes Cephalaspidomorphi, Osteichthyes, Amphibia, Aves and Mammalia).

Subject syllabus:

Lecture with practical course according the specializations of the study. Characters of science, dividing of zoology, relation of zoology to other sciences, the subject of the study of General Zoology. Animals of the Czech Republic, their biology, classification and determination (selected groups).
