Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student who completes the course should be able:
- to define and apply basic information and knowledge about building materials used in water construction, transport construction and structural engineering
- to prepare, defend and describe simple project documentation for a house.

This subject gives the basic knowledge about constructions and land buildings
and objects related (water structures, transportation etc.)
- building concretes and currently applied constructions in constructional
engineering,
- steel and wood constructions,
- construction documentation,
- structural system of a building,
- chimneys, stairs, building roofs,
- road body longitudinal and transversal section, drainage, formation,
composition of road construction, road design,
- railway constructions and airports,
- water management buildings.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Continuous control of students' knowledge during the semester is performed as follows:
1) control of assigned tasks for the elaboration of a semester project, always in individual exercises;
2) writing the final test in the last exercise.

2. Concrete and concrete structures.
3. Steel and wooden structures.
4. Construction documentation. Modular coordination of dimensions in construction. Basic fields of construction production.
5. Construction systems of buildings.
6. Foundation of buildings. Insulation of buildings against ground moisture.
7. Masonry, monolithic, prefabricated walls.
8. Ceiling construction. Partitions.
9. Chimneys. Staircase. Roofing of buildings
10. Traffic constructions. Division of roads. Categories of roads and motorways.
11. Longitudinal and cross section of the road body. Drainage. Earth body.
12. Bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, airports.
