Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course deals with the issue of protection of the quantity and quality of surface and groundwater, in terms of technical and legislative solutions. Purpose and importance of water protection, its organizational security, general water management, water management, water works. Water protection institutes (statement, consent, permit). Defective substances, dangerous substances and especially dangerous substances. General and special water protection (water resources, natural water accumulation, sensitive and vulnerable areas, support for fish life, bathing and water supply). Watercourses and flood protection. Water law management and records. Water planning, water balance. ZPF protection, nature and landscape protection, waste, EIA.

Summary
The subjetc includes topics as the protection of the amount and quality of
surface and ground water from the technical and legislative solution.
Purpose and importance, factors influencing water sources in the Czech
Republic, posibilities to increase the amount and quality of ground water,
water uptakes and use, water recources balance, development of the amount and
quality of water.

1.Water protection - the purpose and meaning,
2.Water classification and its characteristic, general water disposal.
3.Disposal with surface and groundwaters,
4.Expression and agreement as water protection instrument permit for certain activities.
5.Waterworks-definition, types, placement, licensing and final inspection of these buildings, operating and handling orders.
6.Harmful, dangerous and especially dangerous substances, disposal with waste oil substances, accidents
7.The quality of surface and groundwater, quality evaluation, water balance.
8.Protection of water resources, buffer zones, limits in the protection areas,
9.Sensitive areas, vulnerable areas
10.Support fish life, water for bathing.
