Summary

The course acquaints students with the problems of sludge, classifies different kinds of sludge and discusses in detail the ways of their further processing, in particular the possibilities of sludge stabilization and hygienization, technological processes such as thickening, dewatering and drying of sludge. Finally, the consideration to the use of sludge - in accordance with the legislation of the Environment, as well as an overview of legislation related to issues of waste sludge.
