Summary

Industrial practice is an important part of teaching within the frame of Magister’s degree studies. During this practice students check their theoretical knowledge and learn basic approaches for application of learned pieces of knowledge when solving particular problems. Practice will be oriented possibly to the area of potential interest and potential prospects of the student.

Compulsory literature:

Professional literature and technical standards Directive 98/24/EC - risks related to chemical agents at work Directive 94/33/EC - young workers Directive 92/104/EEC - mineral-extracting industries

Recommended literature:

Legislation in waste management and mineral processing. Directive 2017/164/EU - indicative occupational exposure limit values Directive 2004/37/EC - carcinogens or mutagens at work CEN http://ec.europa.eu/growth/

Subject syllabus:

Operational experience is an important part of teaching graduate studies. Students check in practice their theoretical knowledge and learn the basics of approaches for application of acquired knowledge to solve specific problems. Practice will be directed where possible to areas of potential interest and possible application of the student. Students receive practical training within twelve hours per week with a focus on waste management. Passing practice, students verify their knowledge during their studies to solve specific problems in waste management.
