Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will acquire the basics of hydrometallurgy in the obtaining of utility components, especially metals from minerals, secondary raw materials and metallic wastes. The subject deals with the treatment of the raw material before leaching, chemical and biochemical leaching processes, leachate treatment and then methods of precipitation this metals from the solution. The theoretical basis of pyrometallurgical, hydrometallurgical and electrometallurgical processes is followed by practical and theoretical exercises in laboratories.
