Process literature retrieval on a chosen topic. Prepare an experimental program for the chosen topic. Individual writing of a report on the chosen topic. Orientate in the given literature, prepare a technical report, present a technical statement, record and describe the specific technology. Gain practical experience and skills in the chosen field.

Summary

Branch seminar is an important part of education. Students will verify their theoretical knowledge and acquire basic approaches for the application of acquired knowledge in practice. Students participate in branch seminar and industry conferences organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering. They actively participate in processing and evaluation of experiment results in research laboratories of KEI. The seminar is focused on the evaluation of results of a thesis. This seminar gives students basic information for their final works. Explains the guidelines for processing master thesis, introduce students to the course of the state exams. The purpose of this seminar is also to answer questions from students. Coaching students on how to write their bachelor's thesis. At the end of the seminar teacher evaluates the readiness of students to defend their thesis.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students in the branch seminar present the knowledge gained through presentations of semestral projects. Furthermore, they have to submit work diaries, presentation of methodologies, processes and partial results.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Credit from the seminar is awarded on the basis of the submission of a bachelor's thesis prepared in accordance with the HGF SME_15_001 directive and the bachelor's thesis outline. The student consults his/her interim results with the supervisor of the Bachelor's thesis.
