The lectures are aimed to introduce students to basic knowlegde of preparation of polymers and plastics on the basis of biotechnologies.

Summary
The lectures introduce students to basic knowledge of preparation of biopolymers and plastics by biotechnology, further to basic knowledge of applications of these materials and their properties, comparison of these materials with common polymers.

3. Properties and applications, advantages and disadvantages of common polymers
4. Polymers produced on the base of biotechnologies
5. Properties, reactivity, environmental resistance, biodegradability
6. Applications, comparison with common used industrial polymers.
