Summary

Processing and extraction of mineral resources and secondary raw materials Annotation: Reading this course the students will learn about processing methods of mineral resources and secondary raw materials (mechanical disintegration, gravity, magnetic and other separation methods, flotation, roasting, special procedures – cryogenic procedures, hydrometallurgical processes, lumpiness processing). In addition, individual types of waste will be dealt with: waste metal, metallic waste, non-metal waste, liquid waste.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students will include the information gained during a semester into their half-yearly presentations which will react to applications of the individual methods in the sphere of waste disposal. The subject is closed by granting a credit and by an examination.
