Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics in water treatment. Get information on basic technological processes in surface and ground water treatment. Understand the principles and possibilities of application to individual types of water. Chapters on water purification acquainted students with different kinds of waste water and its purification methods.

Teaching methods

Experimental work in labs
Other activities

The task of the subject is to acquaint students with the types of surface and underground water. Methods of their treatment with examples of filtration, clarification, disinfection, iron and manganese removal. Get acquainted with wastewater types and physicochemical and biological cleaning procedures.
