Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course provides basic knowledge on soil science. Soil is explained as a part of ecosystems and as a component of environment. The study is based on the basic course of Geology, Mineralogy and Petrography. It prepares for the further study of soil protection. The main Tthemes are: soil-forming rocks, weathering processes, soil-forming processes, composition of soils, mineral pheses in soils, organic substances in soils, basic soil properties, soil classification.

Sorption properties of soils. Soil water. Edaphon. Soil horizons. Principles of classification of soils. Classification of soils CR. Extension of soil in nature. Soil maps.
