Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the methodology and practical use of landscape planning in the process of revitalization and regeneration of landscape segments. Students will be able to analyze, evaluate and propose solutions to restore segments of the landscape - meadows and streams, lakes, wetlands, etc. Students will be able to determine basic types of tree species and use them to restore the landscape.

Structure and function of landscape elements, Mapping of the current state of the landscape, current practices and methods. • Forests and landscape greenery. • Basics of Dendrology. • The methodology of landscape planning, nature conservation and landscape protection, landscape and landscape painting. • Revitalization of water bodies and watercourses. • European Landscape Convention.

Methodology and practical use of landscape planning in the process of revitalization and regeneration of landscape segments. Landscape and Urban Planning. Determination of basic species of deciduous and coniferous trees and use them to restore the landscape.
