Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To inform the students about general technology processes used in the production of drinking water from processed surface and ground waters. To inform about the processing of water for industrial purposes, incl. special processing methods and measures taken in order to increase health safety of the water.

Teaching methods

Lectures
Experimental work in labs

Summary

The subject provides general information about the processing of waters. Attention is paid to the processing of various types of waters as well as to all technology processes that are used during the processing and production of drinking and special waters for various plants (heating plants, boiler houses...). Importance of membrane technologies and ion exchanges during processing of water to be used in cooling circuits.
