Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Studying subject presents methods of system administration involving in solution of water management problems. Study is orientated on complex research of water management phenomenons in their inner and outer connections.

Summary

The object introduces with principles of system theory and its application on water systems of catchment area systems, i.e. with organization and control of water-supply and water diversion. There are discussed aspects of reciprocal interactions and cooperation particular system elements in water sensitive area.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students have to work up project which is focused on decision analysis, theory of graphs and palnning in river basin management. The practice course is finished by final presentation of achieved results.

Subject syllabus:

Water management subject is focused on basics in system theory and deals with application of fundamental theory on the scheme of drainage area in the north silesian region.
