Summary

Instrumental methods of analysis is the science of making quantitative measurements. In practice, quantifying an analyte in a complex sample becomes an exercise in problem solving. To be efficient and effective, an analytical chemist must know the tools that are available to tackle a wide variety of problems. A fundamental understanding also makes it easier to identify when a particular problem cannot be solved by approaches or new analytical methods. This subject contain links to fundamental principles that underly the different analytical methods.
