The subject solves global environmental problems of hydrosphere, nowadays
condition, evolution and changes in result of anthropogennic activity on the
world and in the Czech Republic. The subject respects admission “Sustainable
development”.

Subject syllabus:
1. Worldwide characteristic state of the hydrosphere - the problems of existing technological solutions.
2.Reasons and consequences of acidification of surface waters and methods of their evaluation.
3. Eutrophication (formation, causes and consequences, the possibility of removal), sensitive and vulnerable watershed.
4. Characteristic state of the hydrosphere on our planet - climate change. Greenhouse gases. The ozone hole. Rainforests. Forecasts.
5.Monitoring load basin (area, point and diffuse sources).
6.The influence of urbanization on the dynamics of groundwater flow and runoff conditions in the areas of urban agglomerations.
7.Observation and impact assessment of the total deposition and local resources to a square of POPs contamination in the waters (causes, behavior and possibility of their removal).
8. Causes and consequences of contamination of surface and groundwater inorganic and organic pollutants.
9. Summary most commonly used decontamination technologies used in the country.
10. Influence water management structures and systems in the hydrosphere
11. Protection aquatic ecosystems.
12. Management of Water Resources.
