Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to get acquainted with basic principles and processes of preparation of surface flows. Basic information about the phenomena arising from the flow of water in the channels of flow, flow regimes in rivers, different methods and flow adjustments, including adjustments to flow close to nature.

Subject syllabus:

1. Development of river networks. 2. Flow in channels. 3. Patterns of natural riverbed. 4. Stability of the trough. 5. Design modifications. 6. Fortification. 7. Riparian structure. 8. Objects on flows. 9. Protective dikes. 10. Flow adjustments in specific conditions. 11. Involvement of adjustments of water flow into the landscape. 12. Landscaping. 13. Design flow adjustments. Practice: Calculation of design parameters changes watercourse. Assessment of changes in the bed of the watercourse. Propose modifications to the watercourse.
