Summary

Main target of subject is offering fundamental information about atmosphere problems, and their sense for biosphere, possible consequence of air pollution, and protection possibility before abient influence. The subject also contains an overview of equipment and techniques used for air protection and for creating the optimal environmental condition. It provides the explanation of function of typical elements of environmental engineering and their basic characteristics. It is based on requirements for environmental properties and other factors influencing the design and operation of systems for the adjustment of thermal environmental condition, air humidity and air purity, and deals also with acoustic and optical conditions of working environment.

Compulsory literature:

1. Richard W. BOUBEL, Donald L. FOX, Bruce TURNER, Arthur C. STERN. Fundamentals of Air Pollution (Third Edition), Academic Press, Inc., 1994.

Recommended literature:

1. Web sources: www.env.cz,www.cemc.cz,www.cenia.cz,http://europa.eu.int/comm/environment/ipp/home.htm 2. Various scientific journals
