Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Knowledge achievemnt in terms of physico-chemical treatment of waters with accent on filtration and membrane processes (micro-nano filtration, electrochemical processes). Understanding of water treatment method selection, processes application and results interpretation.
Determine, evaluate and discuss parameters influencing treatment process of selected solutions, also choose acceptable methodology of water treatment in practice, that all together complete fundamental students skills.

Summary
Main objectives are focused on physico-chemical principles and theoretical approaches to membrane processes. Integral part of subject studies are fundamental balance calculations from field of membrane separation, namely with model contribution, and further study of basic relations and integrations.
Compulsory literature:
Mulder, M.: Basic principles of membrane technology, Kulver Academic Publisher, Dordrecht, 2000
Recommended literature:
Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Konzultace v rámci probírané problematiky separačních procesů a předúpravy vody. Průběžné odevzdávání protokolů provedených prací. Kontrolní bilanční výpočty.
