The course deals with the history and contemporary forms of industrial architecture in the background of architecture in all its breadth. Industrial architecture is understood in terms of urban development, function, design and aesthetics.

Subject syllabus:
1. A brief overview of the development of the city and reshaping the landscape in different historical periods
2. A brief overview of the application architecture for the technical construction in front of the industrial period (bridges , warehouses , manufacturing facilities )
3. Architecture of 19th century and its application to industrial buildings
4. Architecture of the 20th century and its application to industrial buildings
5. Application Architecture for industrial and technical buildings by typologies, loose fittings
6. Application Architecture - energy and electricity ( hydro, thermal atomic )
7. Application Architecture - gas (gas , water gas tank , deep MAN )
8. Application Architecture - coal mining and mining ( mining towers , hoists , sorting and treatment of coal ) coke
9. Application Architecture - metallurgy and coke (blast furnaces , steel mills , coking plants )
10. Application Architecture - Textile Industry ( factoring system, focused factories , factory production - spinning mills and weaving mills )
11. Application architecture - the food industry (mills , silos, granaries , malt , beer , sugar , distillery )
12. Application Architecture - transport (road - bridges , inns , change-over stations, garages, gas stations , railway - bridges , railway station , draw, waterworks warehouses , airline - airport hangars )
