Students will deepen knowledge by their specialization, acquire specific knowledge related with dealing with a specific area. They are able to process data and information, are able to discuss the problem, to solve it and justify results of the work.

Summary
Within the colloquium, lectures by short-term visiting research and practice experts will be organized to report on current problems and solutions to the revitalization of abandoned areas (eg Karolina Ostrava, Horní Suchá Industrial Zone, Prague-Karlín Boiler Room, Dolní Vítkovice Area, Bydgoszcz Industrial Area Poland, Lodz - industrial heritage complex in Poland, Stuttgart Brownfields). The task of the colloquium is also to prepare students for independent work by assigning case studies, inspired by professional lectures, focused on partial and gradual solutions of technical problems related to brownfields (degree of solution balance, studies). Students will develop individual abilities and skills to solve, discuss and present procedures and methods of work.

Subject syllabus:
The task of the colloquium is to prepare students to work independently entering of case studies on partial and gradual solutions to technical problems related to brownfields (grade sheet solution study). Case studies will be the basis for the diploma work at a high professional level. Students will develop individual skills and abilities to solve and discuss their procedures and methods of work. As part of the colloquium will be organized also lectures in the short term visiting experts from research and practice, who will report on current problems and solutions, revitalizing abandoned sites (Karolina in Ostrava, Industrial Zone Upper Dry, Boiler Prague - Karlin, Campus Lower Vítkovice industrial area of Bydgoszcz Poland, Lódţ - a complex of industrial heritage in Poland, Stuttgart Brownfields).
