Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main goal of the specialized field training is to apply the project teaching into practice. Students have the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies and expand the practical skills and knowledge they acquire under the guidance of experts from various fields. Students will learn to work with professional sources and, above all, they will be guided to critical thinking and classification of acquired information. In the final day, students present the results of their projects. Exercise supports soft skills.

Summary

The content of the course is a practical solution of brownfield - building and area, and evaluation of the impact of brownfield on environmental components (biota, soil). The project plan (scenario) of brownfield restoration is chosen by the students themselves and is characterized in broad terms, based on field research.

Literature will be awarded to current issues in the context of field work (map data, case studies, etc.).

Subject syllabus:

The main goal of this subject is field work in the model examples of brownfields in the Czech Republic. The practical fieldwork to get a synthetic processing of data necessary to conduct a case study - recovery of brownfields.
