Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students understand the legislation relating to the protection and formation of the environment. They are able to use the legislation in force in solving a given topic, they are able to acquire information for work experience and ability to demonstrate and evaluate a general overview of the issue.

Summary

Student se seznámí s platnými legislativními opatřeními ve vztahu k ochraně a tvorbě životního prostředí, k posuzování vlivů na ŽP, k hodnocení rizik v ŽP, k přístupu k informacím a účasti veřejnosti. Součástí každého cvičení je prezentace seminární práce (PPT), která se vztahuje k dané problematice. Seminární práce jsou zadány hned v prvním týdnu výuky. Požadovaný rozsah 2 – 4 strany textu.

Subject syllabus:

1. Access to the information in the environment - EU legislation. 2. The Aarhus Convention, Czech legislation. 3. Land planning and regional development. 4. Environmental Impact Assessment. Legislation for remediation, decontamination limits. 5. The noise and vibrations in the environment. Public health. 6. Cultural and technical monuments. 7. Nature and landscape protection, landscape character, biodiversity. 8. Soil protection and land resources. Surface and groundwater. 9. Traffic. 10. Communicating with the public about the intentions of brownfield development - cleaning, use, problems. Public participation in environmental activities. 11. Funding - public procurement, PPP.
