Knowledge proven after the completion of the course: Students are orientated in the waste legislation, have an overview of the legislation dealing with the specific waste management phase and specific waste materials. Skills demonstrated at the end of the course: Students are able to apply waste management legislation.

Summary

The course is meant to acquaint students with valid legislation, which applies to waste management, namely the law on waste, implementing regulations to this Act and other relevant legislative regulations in force. The course also informs students about rules to prevent waste formation and rules on waste disposal and management when adhering to the principles of environmental protection, protection of health and principles of sustainable development arising from valid legislation.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Lectures in the form of self-study of materials assigned by the lecturer in the MS Teams or the e-learning portal at https://www.vsb.cz/e-vyuka/. Participation in exercises according to the student's capabilities. In order to receive credit, student must complete task assignments and personally write credit test, both no later than at the end of the examination period of the semester. The assignments will be provided by lecturer leading exercices. Written and oral exam.
