Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course provides information on the characteristics of the waste and the procedures for dealing with them, which are used to protect the environment. Particular attention is paid to methods and applications in the process of quarrying. Acquired knowledge is the basis for optimization, measurement and management in the field of waste management.

Formation, types and properties of waste, and its disposal. Characteristics of industrial waste and municipal refuse. Waste from extraction and processing of mineral resources. Methods of waste disposal: dumping, solidification, thermal processing, biological processing. Physical and chemical methods of waste processing.
