Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The goal is to master the physical-chemical hydroseparation process called flotation, both in theory and in practical terms. Flotation can be used for treatment of municipal and industrial water and drinking water during treatment.
Teaching methods
Individual consultations
Summary
Theoretical premise of flotation (thermodynamics of elementary flotation),
physical, chemical and electrochemical characteristics of interface of phases
in connection with mechanism of hydrophobisation of solid phase. Modification
of flotation options for separating of mineral raw materials, industry waste
and waste water. Type flotation devices, regenerative modes and technological
diagrams.
