The target of the subject is acquainting of students with Environmental Impact Assessment process and its application in the Czech Republic.

Natural and anthropogenic factors affecting environmental quality. Social aspects of assessment (sociological aspects, medicine-ecological aspects, demosocial aspects). Economic and ecological aspects of assessment. Methodology for the assessment of interactions between industries, energy industry, mineral resources exploitation, transportation systems, agriculture and the environment. Environmental impact assessment. Cross interaction matrix, criterion catalogues, Fuller triangle. Legal regulations concerning EIS process in the USA, Europe and the Czech Republic. Documentation, expertise, public hearing in the sense of valid legislation in the Czech Republic.
