Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The target of the subject is acquainting of students with monitoring of fundamental parts of environment (air, water, soil). The subject also contains an overview concerning monitoring networks and equipment for air sampling.

Air quality monitoring. Design of monitoring networks and equipment for air
sampling. Determination of proportion of major sources in air pollution,
quantification of proportion of pollution sources situated outside areas
observed. Research, check and special measurements (carried out by means of
special vehicles, aerial survey of pollution, etc.). Water quality monitoring.
Design of monitoring networks and water sampling equipment. Soil quality
monitoring. Bioindication of environmental condition. World importance of
environmental monitoring (GEMS).
