Humus soil and humification processes. Soil water. Soil air. Morphology of soil profile. Diagnostic soil horizons. Soil classification. Genetic soil types of Europe and their distributions. Horizontal and vertical soil zonation. Soils in a landscape and in ecosystems. Paleopedology. Soil sampling and analysis. Soil maps.
