Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The objective is to learn principles and procedures applicable to water supplies for households, industries and other consumers.
To be able to determine the needed consumption of water and to understand in detail sources of water, methods used for collection of water, pumping facilities and water storage system. To learn basic principles for designing of water networks and water storage systems. To understand basic principles of water network operation.

Theoretical backgrounds and principles of water supply, incl. calculation of water consumption. Collection of water from surface and underground sources. Transport and distribution of water. Hydraulic calculations of water pipes and water networks. Pumping and storing of water. Advanced methods in operation and maintenance of water networks. Systems and methods used in monitoring and control of water supply processes.
