Seznámení s oborem TPO a BP, studijními směry, plány studia. Používaná terminologie v požární ochraně. Základní právní předpisy v aplikaci na požární ochranu. Organizace požární ochrany. Požární represe. Požární prevence. Bezpečnost průmyslu. Topografie a práce s mapou. Práce s informacemi, anotace, referát, informační zdroje.
