1) Modelování reality a automatizované zpracování dat. Výhody databázové technologie. 2) Informační systém (IS), základní dělení IS. Databázový systém (DBS). SŘBD a jeho funkce. Architektura DBS. 3) Tři úrovně struktury dat. Konceptuální schéma. ERA diagram. Vztahy mezi entitami. Jiné modely k.s. 4) Funkční analýza. Diagram toku dat. UML. 5) Přehled datových typů. Interní formy uložení dat. 6) Síťový a hierarchický databázový model. Relační datový model, relační DBS a jeho podmínky. 7) Klíče a integrita relačních DBS. Funkční závislosti. Normalizace relačních tabulek. 8) Dotazování nad relační DB. Relační algebra. Procedurální a neprocedurální jazyky. 9) SQL. QBE. 10) Objektově orientované databáze. 11) Ochrana DBS. 12) Řízení paralelních procesů v databázích. 13) Datové sklady, koncept OLAP.
