Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: - Define DMR - Distinguish between individual DMR types - Create DMR - choose suitable data, data model and method for DMR creation - Evaluate DMR quality - Specify and describe basic DMR analysis - Apply most of the basic DMR analysis

Summary

The aim of the subject is DMT creation, quality assessment and visualisation. It also present basic DMT analysis.

Student must be able to create DTM and verify it. He can distinguish between variety of model types and he know used data structures.

Subject syllabus:

1. Introduction to DTM and DLM, history 2. Features of ground. 3. Types of DTM. 4. Data models for DTM and DLM. 5. Data structures for DTM and DLM. 6. Data sources for DMT and DLM creation. 7. Methods for elevation data capturing. 8. Process of DTM and DLM creation. 9. Methods to DMT creation - triangularization. 10. Methods to DMT creation - interpolation. 11. DMT verification. 12. Morphology characteristics of DTM. 13. DMT analyses. 14. DMT visualization.

Mandatory attendence participation: 50% attendance of seminars is required. Attendance at lessons is voluntary.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Lessons in form of self-study. Study materials are available in lms.vsb.cz system. Student can arrange on-line consultations with lecturer. Attendance of seminars according to student’s possibilities. The attendance can be substituted with 2 individual projects, which should be hand in until end of the examination period of studied semester. The exam must take place personally.
