Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the subject is to get acquinted students with an environment of selected SW suitable for tasks of Remote Sensing and to teach them how to realise in this environment the whole process of RS data processing from the data acquisition to harvesting and interpretation of outputs.

Summary
Digital image data. Data input and conversion. Geometric corrections, types of
deformation and its elimination. Radiometric corrections, image manipulation.
Image enhancement (histogram stretching, histogram equalisation, colour
enhancement, edge detection, principle and common components, vegetation
indexes). Controlled and uncontrolled classification. Postprocessing. Image
interpretation.
