The main aim of this subject is to introduce students into the basic geoinformation technologies terms (GIS, remote sensing, MGIT, DMT, LIDAR).

Components of feature description. Spatial modeling of the real world. Geodata gathering. Geoinformation technologies: GIS, RS, GPS, DTM, MGIT, geoweb, lidar.

Subject syllabus:

1. Co je to GIS, oblasti použití GIS, definice pojmu GIS 2. Historie GIS. Data, prostorová data, geodata. 3. Geoprvky, složky popisu geoprvku. 4. Geometrická složka popisu geoprvků. 5. Tematická, časová, vztahová, funkční a kvalitativní složka popisu geoprvku. 6. Struktura aplikace GIS, obecné zákonitosti plánování a zavádění GIS. 7. Transformace prostorových referenčních systémů. 8. Metody sběru prostorových dat. Ruční pořizování dat. 9. Družicové navigační a polohové systémy. 10. Fotogrammetrie. Dálkový průzkum Země. 11. Analýza dat v GIS.
