Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students are able to name basic commands for UNIX admnistration or administration of GNU/Linux. Students are able to apply theoretical knowledge for installation of software for geoinformatics to UNIX systems. Students are able to select an appropriate operating system and its components for a selected implementation.

Summary

The subject is focused to operating system UNIX and its variants such as GNU/Linux. The sublect is dealing mainly with configuration of the system with focus to efficient administration of the system. Basic scripting languages for the system are taught as well.

1) Operační systém UNIX a jeho klony. 2) Historie OS UNIX. 3) Principy ovládání OS UNIX prostřednictvím příkazového řádku. 4) Příkazy OS UNIX. 5) GUI pro OS UNIX. 6) Základy administrace OS UNIX. 7) Vývojová prostředí, jejich instalace a správa. 8) Aplikace pro vývoj informačních systémů na bázi OS UNIX.
