Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to give information students about the subject, procedures and methods of socio-economic geography in different disciplines. The goal it to understand and be able to explain and practical applied selected procedures.

Summary

The course includes a basic overview of all basic discipline in Human geography. The main part this course consists of population geography, urban geography, transport geography, economic geography, political and cultural geography. Emphasis is put on links between physiographic sphere and human socioeconomic activities of mankind. The course introduces the principles of regionalization and expression of geographic features according to the principles of thematic cartography.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students are asked about knowledge from areas that they should have already known from previous lessons. They also work on individual tasks. The exam is oral.
