The main aim of the course is to give the resume of the program ArcGIS functions and its possibilities and point to native data files specifics that are processed within these products.

Summary
The course brings the overview of program pack ArcGIS, used for GIS implementation. The main aim of the course is to give the resume of the functions and program pack possibilities and point to native data files specifics that are processed within these products. Meaningful contribution connected with successful passing the course is in building the grounds for the following self study and for the knowledge improvement that enable him/her to use these program packs in learning process and to solve their own projects.

Subject syllabus:
1. Struktura programového balíku ArcGIS.
2. Typy dat využívaných v ArcGIS. Možnosti vstupu dat do ArcGIS. Export dat z
ArcGIS.
3. Datové modely pro správu geodat. Enterprise geodatabase a personal
geodatabase. Terminologie datových struktur v geodatabase (datové sady, třídy
geoprvků, ...)
4. Správa geodat v prostředí personal geodatabase, datové typy, domény.
5. Třídy vzájemných vztahů.
6. Návrh struktury dat v prostředí personal geodatabase.
7. Výstavba topologie v prostředí personal geodatabase. Topologická pravidla.
8. Odstraňování chyb odporujících topologickým pravidlům, editace prostorových
dat v prostředí ArcGIS.
9. Přehled prostorových analýz v ArcGIS.
10. Vizualizace prostorových dat v ArcGIS.
