Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
After the course, students understand basic steps in multimedia system development and are able to independently create a simple own multimedia system using various forms of information communication.

Summary
Course offer students basic knowledge and skill necessary for multimedia presentations creation. Students learn how to shoot and process digital photography, video and audio, create raster and vector computer graphics or get a basic skills in typography.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Students are asked about knowledge from areas that they should have already known from previous lectures. Students work on individual project, where they have to create their own multimedia system. Subject finishes with a written and oral exam.

1. What are multimedia systems? Introduction to multimedia systems.
2. Phase of multimedia systems creation and testing. Multimedia distribution.
3. Colour representation in digital devices.
4. Colours and their meaning. Colour selection, colour sets.
5. Computer 2d graphics.
6. Computer 3d graphics.
7. Digital photography shooting.
8. Digital photography processing, storing and printing.
9. Introduction to typography, work wit text.
10. Animation.
11. Digital video shooting.
12. Digital video processing and storing. Video compression.
13. Audio shooting, procesing and storing. Audion compression.
14. Software tools for creating multimedia presentations and programs.
