Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

An aim of a course is practise of procedures and methods of data collection by using GNSS receivers, that students met during the Global Navigation Positioning Systems course. The student must demonstrate the ability to independently: prepare a mapping project in accordance with the specified criteria, to implement the field work for a specified area, to evaluate the results of field work and write a report on the mapping, to co-ordinate the process with other students within work group

Teaching methods

Project work
Terrain work
Field data collection

Summary

The course focuses on practical exercises of proceduress that the learners met in the context of theirs previous studies - mainly in Global Navigation Positioning Systems course. Student must meet specified goal of the field work, within the area of interests, with the means of theirs choice and within a specified time.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students prepare a report from field measurements, which they submit to the subject guarantor and if accepted students pass the subject.

project

Other requirements

Exercise is held in the second half of June.

Prerequisities

Subject has no prerequisities.

Co-requisities

Subject has no co-requisities.

Subject syllabus:

Students get defined tasks and geodata which are nescessary to completet given tasks. A goal of students is to finish task in defined time by using their knowledge. 1) To prepare project - basemap data, mapping project, mapping equipment. 2) To accomplish a field work so that: - all objectives are covered with and fulfill given requirements, - all required documentation is created. 3) To process all fieldwork outputs according to defined goal. Field work is typiccaly realized at locality Kramolín near Dalešica dam. Students realize following two tasks: 1, topography mapping of forest communications near Kramolin using differential GNSS post-processing technique 2, topography and elevation mapping Dalešice dam crest using RTK GNSS technique
