The aim of the subject is to teach students basics of geoinformatics and geoinformation technologies, use them to complete diffrenet tasks, to design adequit data models to portray real world.

Summary

The course will provide an introductory overview of geoinformation technologies (GIT). Attention is paid to themes common to all the GIT, such as positioning, geodata, spatial objects and data models. It is discussed in more detail the issue of GIS and students are briefly acquainted with other geoinformation technologies, such as digital terrain models, satellite navigation and positioning systems, remote sensing and mobile geoinformation technologies. space. Mandatory attendence participation: Attendance on exercises at least 80%.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Lectures in the form of self-study of materials assigned by the lecturer. Possibility of personal or on-line consultation. Participation in exercises according to the student's capabilities. In order to receive credit, student must complete two assignments no later than at the end of the examination period of the semester. The assignments will be provided by lecturer leading exercices. Examination must be taken in person.
